As the principal,
it is imperative that I acknowledge that the district superintendent has
restructured the schools within our area as such all decisions in schools are
to be made by the principal's office. These changes will be effective as over
2,500 students of ABC Middle School commence their fall term within the next
two weeks. The restructuring of schools demands that the teaching staff will
have to focus on the classroom. ABC Middle School is characterized by an
all-inclusive decision-making model that involved the participation of the
students and the teaching staff. It is unfortunate that my office received
seven resignations from the teaching staff as a reaction to the announcement on
restructuring. Therefore there is a need that I develop a plan for hiring the
new teachers while also addressing how such reactions can be prevented in the
future.
