MEDIA ENTRY ONE: A DAY WITHOUT MEDIA

Although I can openly admit that I am not as active in following up the latest news on TV and newspapers, I do get sufficient information regarding breaking news on websites such as Gmail, Yahoo News, text messages, and social networking. It always has been essential for me to follow up on what happens across the world; however, I am highly selective on the information I consume. I used to follow trending issues on CNN, but I am no longer a fan, and I can go for days, or even weeks, without bothering what the channel is airing. At times, posting on my Facebook and Instagram is my only major use of social media. A day without a cell phone, social media, television, or film viewing would look pretty much the same to me. In most cases when school work and business preoccupy me, I like listening to cool music which can supplement all the urge for social media. It sounds unbelievable, but nature music and dim light are sufficiently therapeutic to set my mood right before going to class even when I have work-related pressure.
