#Me Too Movement
Tarana
Burke is a civil rights activist and the funder of the # Me Too movement. She
an American by nationality, and she was born in New York City on 12th
September 1973. She is from a humble
family, but her mother introduced her to great African American writers at a
young age who, in turn, inspired her to join the leadership world. Burke joined
the leadership movement at the age of 14 years. Immediately after graduating
with her bachelor's degree, she involved herself with social justice work. While
a social justice worker, she formed the #Me too movement" aimed at woman
empowerment after encountering a girl who was sexually assaulted by her
mother’s boyfriend. Besides, she founded a non-profit organization made for
fighting for the rights of disadvantaged girls. To promote healing to the
sexually molested women, Burke used the phrase 'me too' in grassroots
campaigns. Burk was determined to empower women from every corner of the earth
by using all means possible, which included using me too on the twitter and
encouraging CNN to air it out.
