I disagree with the McDonaldization concept because it harms the business entity and its employees. It promotes a high level of labor specialization, a demerit to the company (Ritzer, 2021). If a specialist falls skill by any chance, a business production process is likely to suffer because other employees cannot replace the staff since they lack the expertise. Also, McDonaldization perpetuates deskilling, leading to reduced demand for the skilled labor force.

Automating production and catering services in big restaurants like Starbucks is an example of McDonaldization in society. Customers no longer get human services as they used to be before technological advances (Cian et al., n.d). They need to operate food dispensers to serve them meals like coffee, pizza, and snacks and complete transactions through cashless payment. Automated systems respond to customer needs faster than human intervention.
