Dear Tommy,
How are you doing? I
received a letter from your mother, Mrs. Henderson stating that you have
started smoking. I must confess that I am concerned about your new habit. Together
in the past, we volunteered for the Antismoking.org where we were part of a
sensitization campaign against smoking among the teenagers in the United States.
If you remember well the health effects of smoking included.
First, smoking proves to
be harmful to our health, and it may lead to the development of a severe complication.
Low to moderate doses of smoking may lead to a person experiencing headache,
dizziness, bad breath, feelings of mild euphoria, coughing reduced appetite,
and so on. Higher doses of smoking where an individual takes more nicotine than
their body can handle causes respiratory arrests and death, seizures, low blood
pressure, feeling of fainting, feeling of unpleasantness, and so on. During our

situation may prove to be dangerous as it means that the whole body most
specifically, the heart has to work harder thus narrowing airways hence causing
an increase in blood pressure. The combination of nicotine and tar increases
the risks of smoker developing heart diseases.
Third, smoking is not
only harmful to you but others! Through passive smoking, you endanger the
health of those around you because as you smoke, they also breathe in the
smoke. Passive smoking results in the development of various health effects
that include lung cancer, heart disease, feelings of irritation to the eyes and
nose, and so on.
Besides, smoking will result in you being dependent on the effects of nicotine. To get the same effect you will need to smoke more tobacco. Gradually, you will grow dependent on nicotine. The health experts from Antismoking.org asserted that dependence on nicotine could be either psychological or...
