In this exercise, you will choose a country and investigate its legal approach to sexuality-related issues. Investigate online and find out as much as you can about the laws the country has regarding sex, sex work, and sexual orientation. (Some suggestions of websites to examine are as follows: Human Rights Watch, United Nations for LGBTQ Equality, and World Economic Forum) . Write your responses to the following questions: Does this country have any legal penalties for same-gender sexual activity or other consensual sexual activities? Does this country have legal protections against discrimination for LGBTQ+ people and/or legally recognize same-gender relationships? What is this country’s legal approach to deal with sex work? What is this country’s legal approach to sexual assault and abuse, including sex trafficking? Are these laws strongly enforced? Are there exceptions (such as marital rape)?
