This assignment is based on the reading of King Lear by William Shakespeare - specifically the entire ACT TWO AND THREE of the play. Act two and three have various scenes that go along with it. You must read the entire act two and three, so all it's scenes before you go on to answer TWO questions about act two and three. I am going to paste a link to access a PDF version of the reading, you will see the first option is a pdf version of King Lear, please hit "download" and it will give you the entire pdf version of the reading - scroll down to act one and read the whole thing and stop at act two. Also, read the synopsis and the character list to familiarize yourself. One question should receive a full response to it, answering the prompt question in-depth, along with TEXTUAL EVIDENCE (QUOTES) from acts 2 & 3 that supports your words. The response should be a well-developed paragraph or more - whatever you feel is right - as long as the question is fully answered with quotes and strong analysis! The same for the second question - please respond to it in a well-developed response using quotes to back up your words and strong analysis of the question and quote. The structure should be, the question and then the answer and then the second question underneath that with its own response. NOTE - When citing Shakespeare plays, list the ACT, SCENE, and LINES in parenthetical citations (page numbers are NOT included), separated by periods. Enclose the citation in parentheses. For example: (Macbeth 1.3.14-17) refers to Act 1, Scene 3, Lines 14 to 17 of Macbeth. Question 1 - Lear, Acts 2&3; Goneril and Regan - Why do you think Goneril and Regan turn on their father, and/or why do you think both of them are paired with Edmund? Question 2 - Lear, Acts 2&3; Edgar and Gloucester - Why do you think Edgar disguises himself to his father, pretends to lead him to Dover Cliff, and tells him he has fallen? Please answer both questions in its own well-developed lengthy response with quotes from both Acts 2 & 3 to support your statements and STRONG ANALYSIS - explain how the quote answers the prompt and what it shows - Response MUST BE STRONG AND FORMAL WRITING. Try to Split the 900-word count evenly answering both questions in a well-developed response.
