Learning
the concepts of child psychology has significantly
changed my thinking. In contrary to the initial introduction in the course, I
can now see the field of child psychology from a broader perspective. At the
beginning of the course, I had an insufficient understanding concerning
childhood psychology. I had a limited ability to create a useful knowledge
framework concerning this field in relations to factors that cause childhood
psychological disorders, symptoms, methods of diagnosis, and intervention
mechanisms. Approaching the end of the course, my understanding of various
issues surrounding the subject has significantly improved; I can now
comfortably relate the knowledge gained with real-life scenarios.

emergence of innovation. According to Singh (2015), scientists have worked
tirelessly to elevate the situation that has proven to be disastrous for
decades. These scientists are responsible for creating discoveries that can be
used to diagnose psychologically related disorders and propose most appropriate
interventions.

About 50 years ago, disorders were associated with a family curse or a form of genetic insufficiency creating stigma and discrimination within societies (Davidson & Orsini, 2013). With increased awareness sensitization and campaigns, disability has been accepted within our communities; people living with the disability can now be accorded equal opportunities and love. This transformation concept has promoted treatment plans and outcomes as stipulated in the DSM-5. Besides,...
