Details of task: Research and review ten (10) peer review journal articles on a specific AOD topic, e.g. group work with AOD young male users, residential services treatment efficacy, use of prescribed medication amongst medical staff, substance use assessment, use of AOD amongst specific minority groups, pharmacological approach to AOD treatment, use of AOD by university students. Prepare a brief summary and critical analysis for each of the of the articles selected. If you choose a topic substantially different to the suggestions on Collaborate, you should contact the lecturer and check it is suitable, by 20th August. The aim of this assignment is to:  1) Analyse reliable and trustworthy  literature on an AOD theme/topic relevant to AOD counselling 2) Critically reflect on the use of the information researched on future practice. Based on your review of the selected topic, your literature review (10 journal articles) and participation in class, your assessment should include a critical reflective analysis of an AOD theme you have selected to understand the AOD field.
