A.    Early Life

Jeffrey Dahmer was born in 1960 to Joyce and Lionel Dahmer in Wisconsin, United States, and was celebrated for being a happy and energetic boy. His life started to change at the age of 4 when he underwent surgery to correct double Hernia, which most people believe could have instigated his future lifestyle. Dahmer was a promising boy until his sibling was born, and his parents gave little attention to him and thus became more withdrawn. His parents were on frequent moves. Dahmer was much disengaged, friendless, and mainly tense in his teenage years. At the age of 14, he was severely affected following the divorce of his parents, and he became depressed.

Dahmer believed that it turning to drink sprees would help him to control his loneliness and depression, and later the drinking went out of control. He joined Ohio State University but could not complete his studies; he just dropped out without completing even his first term. His father thought that it could be a good idea that Dahmer joined the Army only for this to catalyze him to animosity. Dahmer was discharged from the Army because of his persistent alcohol drinking habits. He was arrested in 1986 for alleged masturbation in front of two boys (Silva et al., 2012)
