Introduction to Child Development

Parents need to focus more on the social factor of gender identity development to ensure health identity. Society plays a crucial role in how people perceive themselves, mainly for young adults. Thus, parents need to focus on incorporating their children's identity to society's concepts to ensure that they do not feel neglected or discriminated against. Additionally, in many instances, when a parent fails to link their children with the community, their lives in to ensure they can also tolerate others who have diverse sexuality and identity (Steensma et al., 2013). Children at their adolescence have the whole life ahead of them, which probably creates opportunities for them to mess up. Adolescents should always appreciate people I interact with even if I feel they have different cultural or sexual orientations.
