1.     What forensic science courses have you had or are you currently taking? (please list)

I        did take a forensic course in my high school where I attended. It was offered as anelective and it got me interested in pursuing a career in the forensic science field. After graduating from CCSU, I will be attending MCC in the fall of 2022 for my forensic certification. The classes that I will be taking are:

CJS* 225: Forensic Science I

CJS* 226: Forensic Science II

CJS* 220: Criminal Investigation

CJS* 213: Evidence & Courtroom Procedure CJS* 227: Forensic Photography

2.     What type of career would you like to have?

I        would like my career in working as a forensic technician or a forensic specialist. I wouldlike to work by collecting and examining evidence and laboratory analysis.

3.     What are your reasons for wanting this internship?

I        would love to have this opportunity in being able to be an intern at a forensic laboratorybecause this is what I would want to pursue in a career after school. I will be able to gain experience that I might not be able to learn in a classroom setting and see the different roles that are needed. I will have the opportunity to learn and watch and what might help me for my career later on.

4.     Please provide information on any special projects or research done in the scientific fields that relate to forensic science.

5.     There are a limited number of internships available at the Forensic Laboratory.

Please tell us why you feel that you should be chosen for one of these internships. I would love to have this opportunity in being able to be an intern at a forensic laboratory because this is what I would love to pursue as a career after my education. I will be able to gain experience that I might not be able to learn in a classroom setting and see the different roles that are needed. I will have the opportunity to learn and the chance to use skills I've learned in the classroom in a real-life setting.
