Russia is the largest country in the world, resting on 17,098,242KM2 area of land, approximately 11% of the earth’s mass. It is almost double the size of Canada (6% of the earth’s land mass), the second largest nation globally (World Atlas, n.d). It is located partly in Europe and partly in Asia, bordering the sea of Okhotsk in the east, the Bering Sea, and the Arctic Ocean to the North.
