The reading materials covered in the class offered different insights regarding the health care system in the United States.

First Insights

Health care diversity between rich and poor. The article written by David Weigel has analyzed, in depth, the implication of having a non-unified medical system that portrays a high level of dysfunctionality, bureaucratic and inefficient expenditure of public resources in offering healthcare. To bridge the health care services access gap, Sanders argues that Americans’ should be treated the same even when their levels of income have gone up or down (Weigel. 2017).

Second Insight

Health service access has improved.  This insight is discussed by Obama through 'special communication" and argues that health care access had advanced with a margin of 46% between 2010 and 2015. The impetus of health reforms has increased the level of medical insurance coverage after a dedication of 16% of the United States' revenue being committed to health service provision (Obama, 2016).
