1.      Do you believe Starbucks can maintain its values as it continues to expand? Why or why not?

Starbucks will likely be able to maintain its beliefs as they expand. If the firm hires carefully, it should be capable of achieving the intended goals. While hiring new employees, the company should ensure its values are established from the beginning. It is critical to maintaining traditional ideals no matter how huge the organization gets (Shrapnel, 2017). It is not challenging for an organization to keep its growth goals. At the absolute least, it can make it simpler to express these norms and raise awareness of the need to assist other businesses.

2.      What additional communication strategies could the company use to “stay small” as it grows big? How would it communicate to the public that it is still a "local shop"?

Businesses may take several actions to maintain the benefits of staying small while still obtaining access to the possibilities of growing more prominent. Effective interpersonal relations and managerial skills are critical to the success of any firm.

Active Listening: When someone knows when to talk and listen, they demonstrate good leadership. Ask employees for their opinions, comments, and reviews to confirm that you care. Everybody should be able to participate in debates, ask questions, and voice their viewpoints (Landry, 2019).

Receiving and responding on feedback: If Starbucks staff continues to receive advice but makes no adjustments, they will lose faith in their capacity to follow through. Workers are motivated to improve when they know they are seen and heard.

Transparency: Managers may develop trust in their organizations and create an environment in which people are encouraged to express themselves. This is done by open discussion of the corporation's objectives and concerns. Accepting that faults will be made might motivate the team to attempt new things and create a favorable climate for successful problem-solving. Employing these communication abilities will show customers that Starbucks is a local coffee store. Workers can relate to customers and express tremendous gratitude if they feel recognized and not dominated by a large organization.
