INSTRUCTIONS:
You will need at least 3 in class resources and should locate at least two additional resources. PROMPT: Students come to us everyday from a variety of situations including those of trauma and stress. It is the job of the classroom teacher to ensure all students have equal and equitable access to the learning in the classroom. Think about how the learning of students might be impacted when they are coming to us from situations of trauma? Understand that, for many, this trauma has triggered their "flight or fight" hormonal response. Using the course topics, what strategies do we use to override and teach through that response? How do we help students self-regulate and learn in times of stress or trauma based on what we know about how people learn?
