Crusades represented the religious confrontations between Muslims and Christians over the ownership of holy sites. Aristocrats formed the most significant part of the hostilities as they represented the dominant social class of the community. They included the superior cadre of people from families with military backgrounds as well as clerical upbringing who had titles and leadership roles that attracted significant legal privileges. However, Aristocratic social beliefs deprived the younger son of the family inheritance.
