How I Navigate Life’s Biggest decisions by Making Trade-offs

Life decision determines who one’s life will be like in the future. While some decisions may leads one to a better life, some decisions, mostly which are not well through off, can make one have a very bad life. The concept of life trade-off denotes when one sacrifices in order to accomplish a certain life standard either financially, academic, and relationship with people. Ability to accommodate sacrifices culminates to the nature of decision made by an individual and the possibility of such choices to influence life. For example, making a sacrifice between spending time with friends and studying for example implies that on will forego the benefit of having a good time with peers to bettering their grades. However, to reach at some of these determinations some critical determinants such as life objectives, enabling environment, and availability to alternative courses of action play a vital role. Making big decision in life is critical and does not come easily; however, it enables one to achieve life goals.

In my personal limitation, I have made decision that I can regard as paramount to the position I am today. For the last 5 years, I have been obsessed on the idea of completing school to at least become an influential person in the community. My life, before my ultimate determination to concentrate of studies, had many recreational and fun-life alternatives which I could engage in. On my sides, my overall agenda is not to celebrate or enjoy for thing I have not accomplished. I do understand that it is good to take vacation to help me to unwind and refresh. However, I do not see the need to of “living life” when I cannot look and see what I have contributed towards my happiness. My way of determining the level of luxury to enjoy during summer is perfect example of opportunity cost as explained by Russell “But if you want to get the most out of life, you have to take account of the opportunity cost, the foregone alternatives” (Paragraph 8.) This concept has always enabled me to remain focused.

On the same not, navigating biggest decisions in my life entails matching friends with my aspirations and decision when to be with them and when to be on my own pursuing my dreams. Friend, mostly colleges’ peers has a critical determination on one’s life, mostly regarding success. My school mates, mostly those we pursue Labor and Delivery Nursing together thinks that I am over ambitious since I no longer have sufficient time to hang around with them. They feel that I am not living life to the “fullest” and I...
