The issue of lesbians, gay, bi-sexual, transgender among other special groups have gained traction in the contemporary world to a point where societies have considered legitimizing and recognizing this groups as a part of the community. Besides, human rights commissions have recognized sexuality as a personal choice that cannot be inhibited by any jurisdiction. Stakeholders who deal with people with different sexual orientation have a role to play in ensuring their lives are normal, and if anything, they do not find any challenges accessing education, health, and other human rights on the basis of their approach towards life. The attitude towards adopting controversial sexuality position has not only affected grown-ups since students have also shown a high inclination towards personal opinion which calls for support from teachers and parents. School mentors and family members play a critical role in enhancing the education of LGBT students; therefore, efforts should be directed towards guidance, encouragement, building on self-esteem, and championing for equal rights.

Literature review

According to Goldberg & Smith (2014), LGBTQ has been on the rise in the western countries hence necessitating a speedy intervention which will look at incorporating the diversity in the learning curriculum. Most predominantly students have been left out of the inclusive program which can provide indiscriminate learning approach.  A case of kindergarteners has been provided in a research study by Goldberg & Smith (2014) who argue that parents from same-sex families are facing challenges when seeking for learning opportunities for their children. As a result, increased outcry focuses on dismissing the notion that different sexual orientation is against societal expectation; leading to withdrawal reaction by the concerned parties.
