In the readings and videos, you learned about how food, specifically food high in fat and sugar, affects our brains. You also learned how the food industry uses this information to create advertisements that ultimately lead us to over-consume unhealthy foods to satisfy our brains’ desires for fat and sugar. Please use the assigned learning materials to further explore the effect of food advertisements in the discussion for Module 3. You may want to access the Readings and Materials page for review. Instructions Before beginning this activity, be sure to read the Module Notes, assigned readings, and view the assigned videos. Use as much detail from the readings and other learning materials in the module as possible to answer the following question prompts. Describe a food advertisement you saw this week (e.g., television, social media, billboard, etc.). Where was the advertisement? What was the advertisement? Discuss how the advertisement affected your brain’s desire for you to consume that food. Finally, did the advertisement work?
