Holocaust Victims
During the period of World War Two (WWII),
people from different backgrounds faced various life challenges. The main
difficulties entailed being evacuated, denied food and freedom, and even being killed.
The Holocaust population involved a group of people who suffered under the
hands of Nazi Germany. The basis for discrimination was political affiliations,
sexual orientation, ethnicity, and religious beliefs. Regarding this particular
group, I have learned that social discrimination has a critical implication of
people's lives and, more so, on the right regarding access to education and
healthcare.
I would like to know more about
regulations protecting people in minority groups. A paper written and published
by Congressional Research Service indicates that women and children in
the Holocaust victim population suffered the most, such that they could not
even access healthcare services. So, I will be interested to know more about
the mechanism that the government put in place to ensure equality and
inclusivity. This knowledge will enable me to incorporate the existing
regulations into my practice as a social worker.
