Within our community or surrounding areas there are formal groups that occur on a daily basis.  Students will be required to research a group within their community, surrounding area or even place of business if applicable.  In order for students to gain valuable insight into the group, it will important for them to speak to someone who leads the group and or coordinates the group.  During the exploration phase students should find out the following information.  Please keep in mind this is not an exhaustive list, therefore other information can be added.   Group name Group purpose Is this a closed or open group? Population that participates in the group Is there a fee associated with participating in the group Frequency of the meetings Cultural considerations when leading the group This paper should be no more than 5 pages, typed double spaced.  Be sure to include quotes and sources of information.   ****before you begin writing or researching please let me know what the group is so i can provide guidance on if its ok to research****
