My research proposal entails a communication disorder within my community and aims at encouraging people to participate in minimizing the stigma associated with it. Over a couple of decades, this communication disorder, aphasia has increased in prevalence presenting an alarming state. According to an article published on “American speech-language-hearing association (2016),” over 180,000 cases of aphasia are reported every year in the United States making it imperative to deliberate on encouraging participation in communication disorders to elevate this situation. In the process of fructifying the project, the following aspects will be considered.
