INSTRUCTIONS:
The 4P’s, Gen Z, and Me Gen Z, which is roughly those people born between 1995-2010, is being touted as a potentially revolutionary generation, both in terms of culture and – necessarily, therefore – of Marketing. It also happens to be your generation, which makes you something of an expert, or at least a sample of one. In the links below, I have gathered a number of references seeking to explain your generation, especially to marketers. Please review these materials in light of your own experiences and perceptions, and then answer the following questions. In total your answers should run 3-4 pages or so, double spaced. - How would you describe the Gen Z segment? Size? Purchasing power? Attitudes, values? Concerns, issues? Media habits? Social behavior? What makes them new and different? Then, given who they are, please answer the following . . .
- What characteristics and attributes does Gen Z value distinctively in PRODUCTS. That is, what products do they rely on, and what does this reliance mean? How do their product usage and meaningfulness differ from other generations?
- How does Gen Z’s media habits, viewing, gaming, etc, distinguish them from prior generations, and what PROMOTION challenges does this pose for Marketers?
- How does Gen Z’s buying/shopping habits differ from prior generations, and what does this behavior imply for developing an effective PLACE strategy to serve Gen Z’s?
- virtual and offline experiences - What are the implications of Gen Z’s attitudes and behavior toward money for PRICE strategies?
Finally – does all this describe you? Why or why not?
( make this last question personal, don't hesitate to ask me questions about me to make it better) I will put a bunch of helpful links to help answer all these questions ( please only use these links, thank you)
