For your final project, you will be completing an efficiency study of your employer.  You can also just do the study on your department if you work in a large company. In the course textbook, we learned about the five components of an information system: hardware, software, data, people, and process.  In this study, you will break down and evaluate each one of the components in the context of your company.  Also, provide recommendations for each component area that might improve efficiency.  For example, if examining Marian, I would recommend an ERP system for software improvements.  And then I would add my reasons why that might improve efficiencies.  If you even know about a specific system, you can discuss that also.  Submit this in paragraph form.  Start with an introduction and overview of your company and end with a conclusion. You can write it like a research paper in APA if you choose, or simply write a separate page for each component.  The final result for each component should be 2-3 paragraphs including the breakdown, evaluation and recommendation.  All of the components can be found on page 12-15 in the book, and then separate chapters for each that go into more detail.   The rubric for the project can be found below.
