Financial Support

I have hedged my life’s success on my education, but at times I feel overwhelmed and discouraged when I see my parents struggling to keep me in school. I have grown promising myself that I will be the change that my family needs; I keep this desire alive every day by doing my best in school, even in the face of financial difficulties. I believe education continues to be the foundation for better lives. Given the opportunity to complete my degree, I will not hesitate to offer my best in class and in my future career. I have discussed this with my parents severally, and the possibility of remaining in school is slim because of other responsibilities they have to carry for our family.

My family does not have a strong background in education which continually disadvantage them in earning. Being the first generation in my family to go to college, I feel a lot of weight and responsibility to my family and the community to help other young people like me striving to remain in school. Right now, my degree is on hold due to financial reasons, and I have no otherwise but to write this letter of appeal for your consideration for student financial support.
