India is among regions with the highest population in the world amounting to about of 1.33 Billion people, and the number of people who subscribe to Hinduism is about 79.8% translating to about 966 million Hindu believers (Kurien, 2017). During the field work, I investigated Indians ways of life with a keen focus on religion and social norms such as marriage. Sanskara is one attributes of Indians that has a significant impact on the lives of people. The concept is essential since it signifies a rite of passage. The practice of Sanskara is embedded in the ancient Sanskrit texts, which indicates that human life is accomplished in several stages that must be observed to lead a fulfilling life. These life phases are systematic, and one cannot jump to another before fulfilling the requirement of a prior one.
