The 1996 race riot in St. Petersburg, Florida Note: You can write a paper on a conflict already discussed during the class, e.g. the Holocaust, as long as you are using additional new sources My preference is to write on the ethnic conflict in Ethiopia  Choose Ethiopia as a case study and:   2. Your paper should answer the following three central questions: a. What was the cause (or causes) of the conflict? b. What perspective (elite-led, mass-led, etc.) helps us best understand the conflict? Why? Why is this view more persuasive than others? c. Were there solutions to the conflict? Federalism? Partition? International involvement? How might we prevent it from happening again? Style sheet: a. 8-10 pages in length b. 12-point font c. Times New Roman d. Double-spaced e.
