Your post regarding the violation of informed consent has made me realize there are a number of times I experienced similar circumstances where a physician share my health details with nurses. More specifically, a couple of years ago, I was undergoing PTSD and domestic violence counseling and the practitioner attending to me got a bit busy. He went to the assistance, and after a while, a young man came and took over the counseling session from where we had stopped. I felt uncomfortable but the gentleman was composed, and he assured me everything would be alright. You have also raised an important point regarding being given enough time during a medical session which offers a patient a chance to understand the medical procedures.
