Introduction

Australia is known for its significant investment in the business arena. Over decades, it is evident that many renowned entrepreneurs have been born ensuring the continuity of the countries endowment in entrepreneurship. In its current position, Australia has remained the best economy courtesy of entrepreneurs. Apparently, business men and women are an important pillar in the development, growth, and the ultimate social and financial sustainability of the people of Australia. It openly notable that huge numbers of the workforce have secured employment opportunities as a result of entrepreneurs who spearheaded through igniting the entrepreneurial fire in Australia. For the purpose of this essay, I will focus on a renowned Australian entrepreneur who has made it through thin and thick raising to become, not only the best in his homeland but also internationally recognized, Anthony Pratt. According to Australia Financial Review (2016), Anthony Pratt is among the richest persons in the region.

Background of the entrepreneur

a.      Historical background.

Anthony Joseph Pratt was born in the year 1960 in Melbourne, Victoria by Richard Pratt and Jeanne Pratt. He schooled in Melbourne before graduating from Monash University with a degree in economics in 1982. In his college life, Anthony was much interested in business, therefore, ending in various business ventures (Anthony Pratt Success Story. 2016)

b.      Development.

During his development, Pratt engaged in recycling businesses and Packaging in both Australia and the United States of America. Later on, Pratt owned Visy private company following the death after his father and turned the premise to become the largest company in Australia. Also, he later owned several Pratt Industries (corrugated cardboard manufacturers) which, according to Australia Financial Review (2016), performing exceptionally profitable in the United States. Interestingly, the financial review indicates that the industries registered a high improvement from position 46 to position 5 in terms of size and profit in the year 1998. Anthony has always been a passionate and focused entrepreneur earning him many top posts in the Fox magazine.

c.       Family background

Pratt was born amongst two siblings, Heloise and Fiona. His parents, Richard Pratt and Jeanne Pratt, were business gurus and practiced this call throughout in life. His father was also the president of Carlton Football Club while his mother was a great philanthropist.
