Introduction

Employees selection is an integral part of organizational performance and details the level of success that a firm can attain through its operation. According to Youssef, employees are considered as a strategic asset in the overall performance of an organization. Therefore, the approach towards the selection, training, motivation, and retaining of staffs forms an elaborate discussion on the objectives of selection methods and how they impact aims of a firm.

Goals of Employees selection

The target of employees' selection is to achieve a suitable workforce that can move an organizational agenda to the next level. As such, employees' selection should guarantee high quality output. In the job market, people are gifted and skilled in different areas; however, this knowledge is not crucial unless when adequately identified and incorporated into an organization's human resources. To do so, the central role of selection is to scan, test, and hire the required skill set which can fructify a corporate organizational objective.
