The
crime aired in CBS News on May 20, 2021, involves killing of a Black American
by the name Andrew Brown Junior. The shooting of Brown occurred in April 2021
in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, in the United States of America, and was
executed by deputies who were serving crime warrants (Freiman, Kellam, & Pegues, 2021). As the police officers with
a search warrant tried to surround the car, first brown move its backed ward.
He then turned the car left in an attempt to drive away between the police
officers. The deputies opened fire to the car hitting Andrew many times,
sustaining a significant injury in the back of the head which most likely
caused his death. The deceased family filed case with the department of justice
to find justice for their son, but it was in vain since it was argued that the
deputies killed Brown as an act of self-defense.
