For this World Religions course, students will write a 2–3 page essay (700–1000 words) that compares one Eastern and one Western Religion. The purpose of the paper is to simply draw comparisons and contrasts between religions, not to elevate one religion over another. Students will focus on 3 topics to compare and contrast in their essay, which might include: History Rules Rituals Suffering Soteriological beliefs Afterlife beliefs Views towards women
