INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Identify a child who is at risk of, or who is diagnosed with a disorder and write a brief description of the child. 2. Observe the child at play and report on his/her development in the following domain areas: * Cognitive, language, social and emotional development in comparison to the typical childhood development. 3. Students need to keep good recording with analysis and submit as appendices. These basic records (can be hand-written) will not be marked, but they will provide the source of information for the report. 4. Identify the risk and protective factors that may have an impact on the child's development. 5. Discuss the implications of atypical development on the education of the child.
