Genetic mapping (linkage mapping) can provide firm evidence that a disease transmitted from parent to child is linked to one or more genes.  The Human Genome Project is the most significant health-related advancement of modern times.  Genetic research has led to significant interventions for patients with certain diseases, prenatal care, and pharmacological interventions. Instructions To get us started, the topics are assigned for this first discussion post. You will get the opportunity to make your own selections for future discussion topics.  If you are assigned to a topic with another person, you will work independently to complete your own discussion posting (This is not a group assignment). In your discussion post, answer the following questions: (1)   What is the mode of inheritance? (2)   What adaptations, if any, must the patient make to function with this inherited problem?
