Autocratic
Leadership
It
is a top-down leadership style in which the management team sorely executes all
decision-making activities. The top management managers make decisions and
formulate policies without input from other members, then cascade the outcome
to the operational team to perform their roles.
Pros
This
leadership style is more efficient in the decision; there is no time wasted in
consultation among many parties. The team remains consistent and cohesive
because there is only one person in control. Every person clearly understands
their role because it permits delegation of certain responsibilities, and the
staff should remain within the assigned scope.
Cons
It hinders creativity
because the top managers do not consult their juniors in decision-making. No
diversity in thoughts since the decision-makers rely on their capability only.
Transactional
