Psychiatric-mental health nursing has always held a special fascination for me. While choosing my specialty could have been difficult at first, I eventually desired this area because it focuses on helping those with mental illnesses. I find this occupation marketable enough because mental illness affects many people across society today (Smith & Johnson, 2020).
