This purpose of this journal entry is for you to reflect upon the presentations of the social workers, and to think about your developing identity and interests as a learning professional. Consider the following questions: Describe your thoughts and feelings associated with the Social Workers’ presentations. Be as specific as you can in your descriptions – what was said, and what reactions (thoughts/emotions) did it generate for you? Consider learnings from readings, class material (Social work and other classes), and learning activities so far this term. Choose some that stand out for you as contributing to your social work “self”, and write about how you are being shaped through your learning. What thoughts and feelings do you have as you consider being a student in field placement? What do you think you need in order to be ready to begin field placement?
