Simply beginning each sentence with the word "yet" is a straightforward step toward adopting a growth mindset. The expression, "some things are worth waiting for and that they need work," generally refers to the realization that certain things are worth waiting for and require effort (Heggart, 2015). Because of the power contained in this one word, the achievement is within reach, even if it may not always come easily. The differentiation between the language used to talk about the negative and the language used to talk about the positive is something teachers may utilize to help students build positive attitudes. A shift in mindset could occur from something as simple as changing the spoken words.
