Democrats’ and Republicans’ Views on the Climatic Change

Democrat party firmly believe in protecting the environment from human activities that have increased considerably over the last three decades. “Democrats share a deep commitment to tackling climate challenges by reducing greenhouse gas emission to about 80% by 2050 as pledged by President Obama and enshrined in the Landmark Paris Agreement” (Democratic Party Platform 29). With a strong inclination towards safeguarding the future of the coming generations, the Democrats believe that it is possible to create sufficient jobs for the youths and at the same time protect the planet through ensuring sustainable human activities that aim at preserving the climate and other natural resources. Besides, the Democrats aim at cutting energy waste from the Americans’ household consumption by replacing unrenewable sources with more sustainable sources such as solar panels. In its position, the Democrat party believes that it will be able to create millions of jobs for the American youths who will be very instrumental in fructifying the clean energy agenda.
