INSTRUCTIONS:
The information presented about different kinds of families is necessarily broad. There is as much, if not more, variety within types of families as there is between types. Students will write a 2-3 page, double spaced paper reflecting on the material presented and how it fits with what they know about those groups from their own experiences. Think about family, friends, acquaintances, neighbors and coworkers that may fit within the social and ethnic groups studied. How do they fit and/or not fit with the generalities? How did you feel as you studied the information? What is the value of studying groups in general terms? How will the information you learned help you in your future profession?
