Unit 1: Scholarly Study Skills: Accessing Google search for academic purposes and reflecting on accessing and the validity of some Internet Sources for research. Unit 2: Focusing on copyright, plagiarism, referencing, Turnitin, ethics, and research. An opportunity for submitting a formative piece of work. Unit 3: Planning your Portfolio, focusing on higher-order learning and critical thinking. Unit 4: Reflecting on the features of critical reading thinking and writing. Unit 6: The research process. Swot analysis and an opportunity to start thinking about a potential future research topic. Please note that you will not be expected to carry out in-depth research at this stage. This is just to introduce you to the academic tools of research. Unit 7: Literature Review as an introduction to the research process. Unit 8: Research Methodology - Qualitative and Quantitative methods
