Some suggestions for topics:  1. Evaluate China¶s approach to Regional Order in Asia from the perspective of one or more approaches in International Relations (e.g. realism, liberalism, English School, etc).  2. “China has become more assertive over maritime disputes in the Asia-Pacific region”. Discuss this statement with reference to recent examples and material covered in the course.  3. Discuss the characteristics of Chinese academic thinking on international and regional order, and their potential implications for China¶s relationships in Asia.
