Established by Kevin Plank in 1996, Under Armour is among the dominant global athletic clothing lines. The company’s mission declaration stipulates that it strives to use innovation to make athletes productive. As a result, it produces advanced sportswear apparel, performance wear, and athletic footwear.

1.1 Strategic Issue

Research Question: “What can Under Armour do to reduce high market pressure emanating from industrial rivalry?”

The company’s most significant challenge is competition from established entities such as Adidas, Puma, Columbia, Fila, Polo Ralph Lauren, and so on that provide best-appreciated brands. The different industrial participants give a wide range of performance and active apparel that threaten Under Armour’s market share and profitability function.  The business faces considerable market rivalry in the selected segments of accessories, active footwear, and sports kits industries from reputable enterprises. 

In their operations, rival athletic apparel firms apply various strategies to gain and maintain competitiveness. For example;
