Guidelines for formatting and Submission: Project (Strategic Plan)

Each project is based on student own choice of organization. The development of your project should follow the general format of the case studies distributed and used for discussion in class. The project should include the following:

1. Introduction (what is the organization, vision, mission, what is the key issue/challenge) 1-2 pages;

2. Background to the Company and Industry (history, turning points, products/services, key quotes, trends, competitors, industry structure, change etc) 1-2 pages;

3. External Audit (Opportunities, Threats, Competitive Profile Matrix, and EFE Matrix) 1-3 pages;

4. Internal Audit (Strengths, Weaknesses, and Threats, Financial Ratio Analysis and IFE Matrix) 1-3 pages;

5. SWOT Matrix (SO Strategies, WO Strategies, ST Strategies, and WT Strategies) 1-2 pages;

6. SPACE Matrix, Grand Strategy Matrix, the Internal-External (IE) Matrix and QSPM. 1-3 pages;

7. Possible Recommendations. One page;

8. Exhibits (financial information, marketing information, industry information, and any other relevant information).

9. A Business plan.
