Introduction
According to
Talukdar (2013), employees’ selection is the primary determinate of the
organization success. While in most cases organizations prefer employees with a
track record of performance, it is clear that newbies in employment can bring
about an outstanding mix of new skills. Selecting an employee has been argued
as the most critical phase of organization’s services and processes as it is in
this particular instance when the organization strategic goal is made futile or
fructified. The case presented by Mullin (2005), looks closely at the various
ways through which the “best” employee can contribute to the organization's
success. This essay will focus on elaborating different approaches to the
organization design, implication of the organizational structure and benefits
associated with employees’ motivation within the case.

presents an argument that most of the traditional organizational designs are
not working in different organizations. With no doubts, organizations operating
in today’s business environment are faced with a hard task of keeping up with

organizations have been forced to abandon the brick and mortar designs and
adopt a model that focuses more on the process and people rather than output

for Best Buy Company that is looking to allow half of about 3,500 of its
employees to work in various branches of their choice. On this note,
organization structure looks at the organizational hierarchic in relations to
work reporting. In a centralized organization structure, all the employees
report to one managing director limiting their exercise of creativity and
