From the Chapter reading” Wicked Women and Femmes Fatales” I have learned a lot of new ideas about ancient Brazil culture and most specifically, the religious beliefs. I discovered that cultural imaginary in Brazil has developed for decades forming a legendary landscape of beliefs such as supernatural entities and other archetypal aspects that are imminent in every medieval or contemporary society. I agreed with the position of the author that the intersections of magic, morality, and social marginalization in contemporary Brazil are embodied in and through the figure of Pomba Gira and its believers hold high regards for their tradition (Hayes, 8).
