Thomas is an American Citizen, and he was born on September 3, 1970, in Chicago
and grew up in Detroit, Michigan. His career revolves around the minister, author,
and motivational speaker (Sutrisno, 2019).
He dropped out of school while at school level and lived in street life for
several years, and fled home. He met a minister who convinced him to go back to
school during his street life, and he agreed. After completing high school,
Thomas joined Oakwood University in Huntsville, from which he graduated with a
bachelor's degree. In 2003 he returned to Michigan, where he enrolled for his
master's degree at Michigan State University (Lane
et al., 2019). Eventually, Eric graduated from MSU with a Master's
degree and a Ph.D. in education. During his postgraduate studies at Michigan
State University, Thomas was still preaching. He managed to author several
