Essay topic: Write a 500-600 narrative word essay from the viewpoint of a character in "Beowulf." You can not write from Beowulf's point of view! This essay should be in 1st person point of view You are focusing on ONE part of the poem, not the entire thing. The smaller you go, the more details you can add. For example, If I were writing from the POV of Beowulf (which you can't), I would rewrite his battle with Grendel's mother. I would write about what emotions I was feeling, or the physical pain  she caused me.
