authentic leadership is a derivative of authentic leader and having the
understanding of leadership as the endowment of someone with the capacity to
lead; then authentic leadership aligns with its definition by Procknow et al. (2017). that Authentic leadership is
the act of someone leading by the utilization of his or her own individualized
style. George (2003) said that
“Authentic leaders genuinely desire to serve others through their leadership;
they are more interested in empowering the people they lead to make a

Authentic leaders have certain endowed traits that distance them from other leaders.
Authentic leaders have a sense of purpose, distinct value, relationship-building
skills, goals, and self-discipline and are genuine in their hearts. Also,
authentic leaders are able to achieve a lot with their style of leadership.

the Bible teachings on honesty and embracing integrity. 1 Chronicle 29:17 “I

right thing even when not under watch by any person. According to the gospel of
John 3: 18, the bible says, “Dear children, let us not love with words or
speech but with actions and in truth” (Biblestudytools.com, 2021). Authentic
leaders do not only speak of integrity and honesty but also are guided by truth,
and their actions align with their word.
Characteristics of Authentic Leaders

leaders. Authentic leaders are able to connect with their employees and enjoy
what the employees do, and employ servant leadership which is closely related
to authentic leadership. An authentic leaders will aspire to serve their

succeed as employees work with motivation and passion for achieving the organization
and its own goals.
Additionally, an authentic leader has distinct values; they have uncompromising values that they believe have to...
